Why these settings

The Fender Champion 20 lacks physical Mid and Presence controls, so use the ''65 Deluxe' voice to provide the scooped Blackface foundation with natural mid sparkle. Because the Champion 20 is a small solid-state practice amp with an 8-inch speaker, keep the amp gain low at 2 to prevent muddy speaker breakup while letting a recommended TS9-style overdrive provide SRV's signature mid-hump drive. Set the onboard FX to Spring Reverb at around 2 for subtle room ambiance.
