Why these settings

The HB-10G has no mid control — its bass/treble EQ centers are closer to Fender scooped voicing than Marshall's mid-forward bark. Bass pushed to 7 compensates for missing low-mid body; treble dropped to 4 prevents ice-pick highs the JCM800 naturally tames. Gain at 8 approximates the JCM800's preamp saturation without a master volume to push the power section. The TE-20HH's humbuckers are hotter than Morello's Tele single-coil — gain is already -2 from the original's 10 to avoid mush.

PRO TIPTune to drop D and use aggressive palm muting with the neck pickup. Morello's tone lives in the attack — pick HARD near the bridge even with the neck pickup selected, and let each note breathe before the next. The Whammy pedal (toe-down position during the solo scratch) is the signature move here — without it, you lose the effect entirely.
