The Champion 20 lacks a dedicated mid knob and physical presence control, so the Voice knob must be set to the high-gain British voice with gain at 8 to simulate Gilmour's cascaded Big Muff and Hiwatt saturation using amp hardware alone. Because the short-scale Jaguar single-coils are naturally brighter and thinner than Gilmour's overwound Strat bridge pickup, treble is restrained to 5 and the guitar tone is rolled back slightly to 8 to avoid harshness. If you add a true Ram's Head Muff in the future, move to the clean 65 Twin voice at low gain. Clean verse: switch amp Voice to '65 Twin Clean with gain at 3 and select neck pickup.
