| Knob | Setting (0–10) |
|---|---|
| Gain | 7 |
| Bass | 5 |
| Mid | 6 |
| Treble | 7 |
| Master | 5 |
01Tube Screamer (TS9 / Mini)
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; tightens low-end flub on practice amps
02Vox Wah
Bypass for rhythm tracking; engage toe-down for lead fills
The Harley Benton HB-10G has a small 6-inch speaker that tends to get muddy and loose if bass is pushed too high, so bass is pulled back to 5 to keep the palm-muted gallops tight. Set the Overdrive channel gain to 7 to deliver the aggressive crunch without completely fuzzing out the solid-state preamp. Adding a Tube Screamer style overdrive in front with Drive at 0 and Level cranked will significantly tighten the low-end definition and bite.
