RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; select onboard Hall reverb (FX Type: Hall) on the Champion 20 at FX Level 9 for now
The original uses an Ampeg bass amp for a thick, low-mid fundamental with zero high-end chime. On your Fender Champion 20, use the clean '65 Twin voice with gain kept low to prevent breakup, bump bass to 7 for warmth, and roll treble down to 4. Select the onboard Hall reverb effect with FX Level dialed to 9 to approximate the massive Neunaber ambient wash using only your amp.
