RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; with pedal, switch SLO-100 to Clean channel with gain at 2
The SLO-100's Crunch mode on the Normal channel delivers the thick vintage British tube drive needed to approximate the original Coopersonic and Selmer combination without external pedals. The Schecter's active EMG pickups are significantly hotter and tighter than a vintage 12-string, so tone is rolled down to 7 and the neck pickup is selected to replicate that wide, woolly low-end body. Treble and presence are pulled back slightly to tame the active pickup sizzle while keeping the low-mid snarl intact.
