Why these settings

The SLO-100 has more inherent midrange presence and smoother saturation than the JMP-1/Rectifier combo. Dropped mid to 4 (vs original's 3.5-6 range) because the SLO's voice is already mid-forward—further scooping would lose definition. Reduced gain to 6 because the SLO saturates earlier and stays tighter than a Rectifier; the original's 7.5-8 would get mushy here. Your Schecter's humbuckers approximate the JB output well.

PRO TIPPalm mute directly over the bridge saddles and pick aggressively with downstrokes only—Carpenter's percussive attack comes from hand position and pick angle, not gain. The tone lives in the right hand.
