Why these settings

The original Dual Rectifier is darker and more scooped than your DSL40CR, which is naturally mid-forward. I've dropped mids to 3 to approximate the Recto scoop, raised bass to 6 for the chunk, and set treble at 7 (vs the DSL's brighter voicing, this prevents ice-pick). The SD-1 running low-gain/high-level tightens the DSL's looser low-end to match the Recto's punchy attack.

PRO TIPPalm mute firmly and pick close to the bridge for that percussive chunk on the main riff — the Drop C tuning relies on tight muting to keep the low C from getting flubby.
