Why these settings

The Glarry GA-20 is a budget solid-state practice amp with limited headroom and a brighter, thinner voicing than the original JCM800. I pushed bass and mid to 6 to compensate for the amp's naturally scooped character, and dropped treble to 5 to avoid ice-pick harshness. Gain stays at 2 because this tone is completely clean — any breakup destroys the vibe. Added reverb at 3 to partially compensate for the missing delay pedal, though it is not a true substitute.

PRO TIPThis tone lives and dies on the modulation pedals — without chorus and delay, you are getting maybe 40% of the sound. If you cannot buy pedals yet, try rolling your tone knob down to 6-7 and picking closer to the neck for a warmer, more pillowy attack. The original also uses Eb tuning (half step down), which adds thickness and makes bends easier.
