Why these settings

The Fender Champion 20 is a solid-state practice amp with scooped, bright American voicing—it cannot produce Rectifier saturation on its own. The Metal Muff becomes your entire gain stage; I dropped amp gain to 3 to keep the platform clean and avoid mud from double-saturation. Pushed mids to 6 to compensate for Fender's natural mid-scoop and match the Rectifier's retained-mid character Kruspe uses for note clarity in drop tuning. Your SC-Custom II's passive humbuckers are warmer and less compressed than EMG 81s, so the Metal Muff's Distortion at 7 compensates for the lower output.

PRO TIPPalm mute directly over the bridge saddles, not further up the strings—Rammstein's percussive attack comes from extremely precise, tight muting that chokes the note immediately. Practice the mute pressure: too light and it's muddy, too hard and it's dead.
