The Yamaha GA-15 is a basic solid-state practice amp with Gain, Treble, Middle, and Bass controls (no onboard presence or reverb), so the Drive switch must be engaged at Gain 8 to supply the necessary singing sustain without external pedals. The Treble is dialed back to 5 and the Squier's bridge tone rolled off to 8 to tame the solid-state harshness and mimic Gilmour's warm Hiwatt power-amp response.
