RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Critical for the Dime tone: boosts signal into the amp for tighter saturation and sculpts the iconic mid-scoop with 800Hz push. Run into amp front input.

Why these settings

The Laney LH50 is a British-voiced all-tube head—warmer and more mid-present than Dime's solid-state Randall. Scoop mids harder (3) to approach the Randall's naturally scooped character. Your Strat's single-coils are significantly lower output and brighter than Dime's hot Bill Lawrence humbucker—compensate with bass +1 and presence pulled back slightly to avoid ice-pick highs. The EQ pedal is non-negotiable for this tone: Dime's sound relied on the MXR 6-band for front-end gain push and frequency shaping.

PRO TIPTune to D Standard (D-G-C-F-A-D) and use your Strat's bridge single-coil with aggressive downpicked palm mutes right at the bridge saddles—the tight, percussive attack is 70% of this tone. Pick hard and let the gate do the cleanup.
