Why these settings

The Champion 20 lacks physical mid and presence controls, so set the Voice knob to the aggressive Red Metal voice and push treble to 8 to mimic the biting high-end of Dime's Randall solid-state rig. The Sire L7's humbuckers provide strong output, but because the 8-inch speaker can get boxy, keep bass at 7 to retain low-end authority without flubbing out. Since you own no pedals, rely entirely on the onboard Metal voice's gain for saturation today, and select the onboard FX 'Delay' or 'Delay+Reverb' preset at level 4 to capture the studio space.
