The Frontman 10G is a solid-state practice amp with only Gain, Treble, Bass, and Volume — no mid, presence, or reverb controls. The original Vox AC15 has Class A chime and spring reverb; the Frontman is darker and flatter. I pushed gain to 7 to coax mild breakup from the solid-state circuit, rolled treble to 6 to avoid solid-state harshness, and kept bass at 4 to prevent mud. Without the fuzz and chorus pedals, you will not get this tone — they are non-negotiable for the dreamy, fuzzy character.
