Why these settings

The Marshall Origin 50C is a vintage-voiced, single-channel Plexi-style circuit that cannot natively reach the modern, ultra-compressed saturation of a Dual Rectifier/5150 blend. To compensate with only the amp, pull the Gain boost, push Gain to 9, turn the Tilt control mostly toward High Treble (around 7-8) for attack bite, and slightly scoop the mid control. Adding a dedicated high-gain distortion pedal or overdrive boost is necessary to fully bridge the nu-metal gain gap.

PRO TIPTune down to Drop D and use aggressive, highly synchronized palm-muting right against the bridge saddles to get that percussive, mechanical stop-start attack characteristic of Brad Delson's rhythm playing.
