The Marshall Origin is a plexi-style amp — it breaks up nicely but lacks the tight, saturated high-gain of a Rectifier or modern Marshall. I pushed gain to 8 with Boost engaged to maximize available saturation. Mids at 4 give the slight scoop thrash needs without disappearing. A Tube Screamer in front is critical — it tightens the low-end flub and adds the pick attack clarity that separates thrash from mush. Without it, the Origin will sound loose and woolly at these gain levels.
