Why these settings

The Fender Champion 40 operates on Channel 1 as a clean platform (with presence and mid controls naturally absent on this faceplate). Geordie Walker created his signature grind using hollowbody resonance and a driven Bell & Howell tube projector amp, which is replicated here using the Klone Centaur's mid-push into the clean channel. The Boss CH-1 combined with a tight DD-8 slapback recreates the sweeping, metallic spatial width of the original recording.

PRO TIPGeordie tuned his guitar down a full step to D standard (D-G-C-F-A-D) and leaned heavily on droning open strings with wide ringing chord voicings; down-tuning immediately unlocks the signature low-slung chime and percussive tension of the track.
