The Fender Champion 40 features a 2-band EQ on Channel 2 without a mid control, so the Voice knob must be locked to the highest-gain Metal voice to emulate the modded Dual Rectifier. Treble is pushed high to capture the aggressive pick attack of the EP while Bass is kept moderate to prevent the 12-inch open-back speaker from flubbing on rapid drop-D palm mutes. The Revstar's custom humbuckers push the preamp hard, but adding an overdrive pedal as a clean boost in front would tighten the low-end response even closer to the studio cut.
