01Boss DD-5 Digital Delay
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Set to 400-500ms delay time. Essential for the rhythmic interplay and atmosphere on this track.
02Tube Screamer (TS9) or similar overdrive
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Used as light drive for the heavier rhythm sections and Banks' lead lines. Original used Tube Works Real Tube; a TS9 gets you close with less woolly character.
The Laney LH50 is a Marshall-voiced EL34 amp — significantly more mid-forward and gainy than the original Fender cleans. Keep gain at 3 to stay in clean territory; push mids to 6 to replicate the Casino's hollow-body resonance your Strat lacks. Your Strat's single coils are brighter and thinner than the Casino's P-90s, so treble drops to 5 and rolling the tone knob to 7 warms it up.
