Zero amp settings — Glarry GA-20
The Imagine Dragons guitar tone for “Zero”, dialed in for a Glarry GA-20 with a Fender Player Stratocaster. Studio version, Origins (2018) / Mercury Tour live rig (main riff and chorus crunch)
Wayne Sermon: Custom Fender Telecaster Deluxe (bridge humbucker) -> Fulltone OCD v2 / Fractal Axe-Fx III -> Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier 2x12 Combo (Channel 2, Modern crunch)
| Knob | Setting (0–10) |
|---|---|
| Gain | 7 |
| Bass | 6 |
| Mid | 4 |
| Treble | 6 |
| Master | 5 |
01Fulltone OCD (or quality OD/distortion)
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; with pedal, run into Clean channel at gain 2
The Glarry GA-20 is a small practice amp lacking dedicated presence or reverb knobs, so the built-in Drive switch is pushed to 7 to provide the necessary modern saturation without turning completely to mush on an 8-inch speaker. On a Player Strat with single coils, you will get brighter, thinner attack than Wayne Sermon's bridge humbucker, so mids are dropped slightly while treble is dialed back to 6 to combat harsh fizz. A dedicated overdrive/distortion pedal will dramatically thicken the punch once acquired.
