Slash achieved this singing sustain using a cranked Marshall half-stack and warm Alnico II humbuckers. On your Frontman 20G, use the Drive channel at gain 7 to get sustain without turning into thin solid-state fizz, and roll treble down to 4 with bass pushed to 7 to round off the bright 8-inch speaker. Switching your Pacifica to the Alnico V neck single-coil and rolling its tone knob back to 7 rounds off single-coil glassiness and captures Slash's signature 'woman tone' flute-like attack. Outro solo switch: flick guitar pickup selector to bridge humbucker with tone on 10.
