The Frontman 20G is a solid-state practice amp with a scooped, bright voicing — the opposite of Frusciante's warm Marshall/Fender tube compression. To compensate: mid pushed to 7 (vs original's 5-6) to recover the cut; treble dropped to 4 to tame the Frontman's harsh top end; bass at 6 (not 10) because the SG already delivers low-end thump the Tele lacked.
