Why these settings

The Champion 20 lacks a mid knob and presence — the voice switch pushed toward overdrive gets you into crunch territory. Original used a Les Paul Jr. P-90 which is hotter and mid-forward; your Strat's single coils are brighter and lower output, so I dropped treble from what a Marshall would need (avoiding ice-pick) and recommend the neck pickup with tone rolled to 6 to fatten the sound closer to that P-90 bark. The Champion 20 cannot reach the fuzzy saturation of the original riff — gain 7 is the amp's sweet spot before it gets fizzy, giving you the cleanest usable crunch.
