The Fender Deluxe Reverb has a scooped American clean voiced around a 6kHz treble shelf, so we keep treble at 5 to avoid harshness and run the TS9 as the primary crunch driver since the amp will not distort on its own. Mid and presence controls physically do not exist on the Deluxe Reverb faceplate and are therefore nulled. The Cutlass SSS bridge pickup delivers the precise attack required for the iconic intro riff.
