The DSL40CR's Ultra Gain channel in Crunch mode delivers the JCM800-style saturation Slash used. Dropped gain from 10 to 7 because the DSL has more preamp gain on tap than the original non-master-volume Super Lead which got its saturation from power tube breakup. Kept mids at 8 to preserve Slash's signature mid-forward voice that cuts against scooped '80s metal tones. Bass reduced to 5 from original's setting to tighten the DSL's looser low-end. Reverb at 0—the studio track is bone dry except for the intro's delay effect.
