Frusciante's original used a bright, hollow-body Gretsch into Marshalls with bass cranked to 10. Your Les Paul humbuckers are warmer and higher output than the Gretsch's Filter'Trons, so I dropped gain to 2 (vs his edge-of-breakup from cranked volume), raised bass to 7 to approximate his full-bass approach, and cut treble to 4 since the Les Paul won't need the brightness compensation a Strat would. ISF set toward British voicing mimics the Marshall midrange character.
