Why these settings

Set the GM108's analog modeling switches to AMP: BRIT, MODE: HI GAIN, and SPEAKER: UK to replicate Blackmore's cranked Marshall Major. The Peavey Raptor's ceramic single coils provide the necessary Strat bite, but keeping the mid switch voiced British and mid knob at 7 captures the thick midrange push originally created by the AIWA tape preamp into a 200W power section. The GM108 has no presence or reverb knobs, so presence and reverb are omitted.

PRO TIPPick firmly right next to the bridge saddles and dig in with a heavy pick to emulate Blackmore's percussive, articulate pick attack on the main repeating riff.
