Why these settings

The GP-200's Hiwatt DR103 model is set ultra-clean with low gain to provide the flat, high-headroom canvas Gilmour relied on, letting the onboard Fuzz Face block generate all the saturation. Because your Gibson SG Special has thicker P-90s or humbuckers compared to Gilmour's bright Stratocaster bridge pickup, the guitar tone knob is rolled back slightly to 8 to tame harshness while the amp mids are pushed to 7 to retain the vocal cut.
