Why these settings

Your Pacifica's single-coil-sized bridge pickup has lower output than the EMG 81s used on the recording — the TS-style boost compensates by pushing the amp model harder. Gain is set at 7 rather than maxed because the GP-200's high-gain models saturate earlier than a real Rectifier; going higher gets fizzy. Mid at 4 gives the characteristic scoop without disappearing.

PRO TIPSlipknot's tightness comes from aggressive palm-mute technique with the pick angled sharply and striking close to the bridge. The original is tuned to Drop B — if staying in standard tuning, the tone will feel thinner; consider using the GP-200's pitch block dropped 4 semitones or focusing on the higher-register riffs.
