RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Essential for achieving the saturated, singing lead sustain. The Deluxe Reverb cannot produce high-gain tones alone.

The Fender Deluxe Reverb is a clean platform amp and cannot replicate Dimebag's saturated Randall high-gain tone on its own. A drive pedal is mandatory—the TS9 provides the sustain and compression while the Deluxe stays clean underneath. Bass pushed to 6 compensates for the Fender's naturally scooped mids vs the Randall's tighter low-end. The onboard spring reverb handles the ambient tail adequately, but the chorus and delay are non-negotiable for this tone.
