Why these settings

Dimebag's signature tone relies on boosting mids into the front of a high-gain solid-state amp and cutting them post-distortion, which we emulate inside the GP-200 by stacking a pre-boost with an EQ block in the FX loop. The PRS 85/15 'S' bridge humbucker has slightly more low-mid warmth than a Bill Lawrence L-500XL, so keep the treble and presence elevated to achieve that razor-sharp attack. For the clean intro, switch off the overdrive and high-gain amp blocks in favor of a pristine clean model with chorus and reverb.

PRO TIPDime achieved the singing, liquid harmonics in this solo by picking hard near the bridge and applying extremely wide, fast wrist vibrato to let notes bloom into controlled feedback.
