Why these settings

The ID:Core's OD1 voice approximates a pushed Marshall but lacks the 100W headroom Rhoads had — compensate by raising mid to 8 (vs original's 6) because the ID:Core is darker and more scooped than a real Plexi. Bass dropped to 3 (original was 2 on a boomy 4x12 stack; your 2x5" speakers need less low-end or it muds). The ISF knob on your amp should sit at 2-3 o'clock (British/Marshall side) to nail the upper-mid bite. Without the MXR Distortion+ and Ten Band EQ, you're missing Rhoads' signature 500Hz peak — a cheap EQ pedal or the Distortion+ clone is the single best upgrade for this tone.

PRO TIPRhoads picked aggressively right over the bridge pickup pole pieces with a medium Fender 351 pick held at a steep angle — that attack placement is half the snarl. Roll your picking hand 1cm toward the bridge and dig in harder than feels natural; the tone lives in the pick attack, not just the amp.
