RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; tightens low end and saturates the 2203 front end
The original cut features Orianthi playing hot humbuckers into high-gain modern cascading amps, whereas a single-coil Strat straight into a JCM800 2203 is inherently brighter and lower in output. Running the 2203's Preamp Gain near 9 provides maximum analog breakup, while Treble and Presence are capped around 5 (and guitar tone on 8) to keep thin single coils from turning shrill. Bass is boosted to 7 to compensate for the Strat's lighter low-end body; adding the recommended TS9 down the road will compress the attack and deliver the modern chug cleanly. Clean verse: roll guitar volume back to 4-5.
