Why these settings

The JCM800 is mid-forward and compresses where the Randall solid-state stayed tight and clinical. Mids dropped to 2 (vs Dime's flat-out scoop via EQ) to fight the Marshall's natural bark. Presence raised to 7 to recover the high-end bite the Randall delivered effortlessly. Without the MXR EQ pedal, you will not achieve the true V-curve — the amp EQ alone cannot scoop hard enough.

PRO TIPPalm mute directly over the bridge saddles, not further up the strings — Dime's pick attack was extremely precise and close to the bridge, which is how he got that machine-gun chunk without flubby low end. The EMG 81 in your JH-600 is hotter and more compressed than the L-500XL, so back off your picking dynamics slightly to avoid over-saturating the front end.
