Why these settings

Your JEM7V's DiMarzio Evolution pickups are hot but brighter than Hetfield's EMGs, so I pulled treble down from the original's 8 to 7 and kept mids at 3 for that signature scoop. The MG30CFX's OD1 channel is tighter than OD2—use it. The Marshall voicing is inherently more mid-present than a Rectifier, hence the aggressive mid cut to compensate.

PRO TIPFor the clean intro, switch to the Clean channel with gain at 3, bass 5, mid 6, treble 5—use your neck pickup with tone rolled to 6 and pick softly near the neck for that pillowy attack Hetfield uses before the song explodes.
