The Frontman 10G is a 10-watt solid-state practice amp with minimal gain on tap — it cannot produce thrash metal distortion without a pedal. I maxed the amp gain and scooped the mids hard to mimic the V-curve EQ, but the pedal does the real work here. Your Telecaster's single-coil bridge pickup is brighter and lower-output than Hetfield's EMG 81 humbucker, so I rolled the tone knob to 7 to tame the ice-pick highs and boosted bass on the amp to compensate for the thinner low-end.
