RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Creates the classic 'V-curve' mid-scoop essential to this tone. Place before amp input.
The MG10 is a solid-state practice amp with limited headroom and a brighter, thinner voicing than the original tube rig. Mids dropped to 2 (vs original's 3-4) because the MG10 lacks the natural low-mid thickness of a Mesa — cutting further compensates. Bass reduced to 5 to avoid flubby lows through the small speaker. Without an EQ pedal, you will get close but lack the surgical mid-scoop that defines this tone.
