Use sparingly — MT-2 is scoopier and more aggressive than the Dookie tone. Keep Dist LOW to avoid fizz. Push the mid knob hard and set Mid Freq around 600-800Hz to approximate P-90 bark. This pedal is NOT ideal for this tone but can get close with restraint.

Why these settings

Your MG10 lacks the harmonic richness of a modded Plexi, and your Strat's single coils are brighter and thinner than a P-90. I've pushed mids hard (+2 over typical) to compensate for the Strat's scooped character. Rolling tone to 7 tames the ice-pick highs. The MT-2 wants to scoop mids and fizz — fight it by keeping Dist at 4 and Mid at 7. This gets you in the ballpark but won't nail the Dookie compression.

PRO TIPPalm-mute aggressively on the low E and A strings during verses — the Dookie tone's tightness comes as much from Billie Joe's right-hand technique as from the amp. Angle your pick sharply for more attack and less flub.
