RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. This is the primary gain source; the amp stays clean. A ProCo RAT or Boss DS-1 can substitute but will have less fuzz thickness.
Your Strat's single coils are brighter and lower output than Delson's PRS humbuckers, so I raised bass +1 and cut treble -1 from the original Dual Rec settings. The Hot Rod Deluxe cannot produce high-gain tones on its own — the Big Muff is mandatory for the wall-of-fuzz sound. Amp stays on Clean channel with low gain to avoid muddy double-saturation.
