Why these settings

The Fender Rumble 100 is a bass amplifier lacking a dedicated guitar lead gain stage, so amp gain is kept low at 2 with the overdrive button off to serve as a clean platform. To compensate for the bass amp's deep low-end voicing, bass is rolled back to 4 while High Mid and Treble are pushed to replicate the bite of a cranked Marshall. Your Les Paul humbuckers provide the right punch into a recommended classic distortion pedal.

PRO TIPBillie Joe's signature punch comes from aggressive downstroke-heavy power chords hit right near the bridge saddles with a heavy pick.
