Why these settings

The Dual Rectifier's Modern mode shares DNA with the 5150 III — both are tight, aggressive high-gain platforms. I pulled bass to 4 (vs Joe's 6) because the Recto has more inherent low-end thump than the 5150. Your KH-202's EMG-designed pickups are hot and compressed like Joe's EMGs, so no gain compensation needed. Without the TS boost, bump gain to 7 and bass to 3 to compensate for the missing low-end tightening.

PRO TIPDuplantier's pick attack is the real secret — use a thick pick (1.0mm+), choke up close to the tip, and strike the strings with a downward angle to get that percussive 'thwack' on palm-muted chugs. The tone is in the hands as much as the gear.
