RECOMMENDED — use as clean boost for solo sections to simulate Clapton's mid-boost circuit; if your multi-FX has a mid-boost or clean boost, use that instead with similar settings

Optional — Clapton uses wah sparingly on solos, parked or swept slowly; bypass for rhythm parts

Why these settings

Your Fender Player Strat is ideal for this tone — same platform as Clapton's rig. The M-Wave multi-FX lacks the organic tube compression of the original Music Man HD-130, so I pushed mids to 7 (original was flatter) to compensate for digital clarity and rolled gain back to 3 to stay clean. Rolling guitar volume to 8 and tone to 7 mimics Clapton's habit of cleaning up from the guitar for rhythm, then pushing for solos.

PRO TIPClapton's secret weapon is his right-hand attack — he digs in hard on solos for natural breakup and backs off for clean rhythm. With your Strat's volume at 8, you can push it to 10 mid-song to hit the amp model harder and get that solo bloom without touching a pedal.
