Quiet verse switch: switch the amp channel select button off to Clean with guitar volume rolled back to 7.

PRO TIPTune down to Drop C# (C#-G#-C#-F#-A#-D#) and dig hard into the lower strings right over the bridge pickup with a heavy pick to get the signature percussive chug.
