The HB-20R is a basic practice amp without the tight, high-gain voicing of the Lee Jackson preamp. I've pushed gain to 7 and scooped mids to 3 to approximate the Scandinavian metal scoop, while keeping bass at 6 to avoid flub from the small speaker. Your EC-256 has passive humbuckers with less output than Alexi's active EMGs, so gain stays higher than the original. A TS-style pedal is strongly recommended to achieve the tight palm-mute definition—without it, the tone will be looser and less defined than the recording.
