Why these settings

The HB-20R is a small practice amp with limited gain and a Fender-ish clean voice — it cannot replicate the Hellwin's saturated metal preamp. I maxed gain at 8 to extract what dirt exists, cut bass to 4 to prevent flub through the small speaker, and kept mids modest at 4 to approximate the scooped Hellwin character. Without a distortion pedal, you will get a crunchy rock tone at best, not the saturated metal wall. A distortion pedal is essential to close the gap.

PRO TIPPalm mute hard and pick right over the bridge pickup pole pieces for the tightest attack — the Strat's single coils will sound thin on this riff, so aggressive picking dynamics are your only weapon to add perceived weight.
