Why these settings

The Pacifica 112V has Alnico V single coils in a humbucker-sized bridge slot — significantly lower output and brighter than the high-output Invaders on the original. Gain pushed to 8 (vs original's ~6-7 on the Uberschall) to compensate for lower pickup output. Mid set to 6 rather than scooped because the THR's Modern model already has a mid-cut voicing — going lower would lose definition. Tone knob rolled to 8 to tame the single-coil ice-pick without losing attack. The internal TS-style boost is essential — it replaces the MXR boost and tightens the flubby low-end that small speakers and lower-output pickups produce.

PRO TIPPalm mute directly over the bridge saddles, not further up the strings — the Nightmare riff's tightness comes from extremely short, percussive mutes. Angle your pick slightly so the attack is pointed, not rounded. If the low E still sounds flubby, drop bass to 4 and push the TS level to 8.
