| Knob | Setting (0–10) |

| Treble | 6 |
| Presence | 6 |
| Reverb | 0 |
| Master | 4 |
01Line 6 POD X3 Live (Screamer Stomp Block)
Run Pod in front of amp as clean boost stomp only (amp/cab modeling bypassed)
02Line 6 POD X3 Live (Noise Gate Block)
Tightens palm-muted chugs and eliminates high-gain hiss
The original Waking the Fallen tone combines Bogner Uberschall and Mesa Rectifier saturation boosted with an overdrive. On the DSL40CR, OD1 provides the thickest British core without the excess fizz of OD2, while the Pod X3's Screamer block cuts low-end flub and drives the front end. Keep the amp's Resonance set to 6 on the rear/master panel to simulate the massive 4x12 low-end thump without loosening the Iceman's bridge humbucker. Clean verse: switch amp to Classic Gain Clean channel and bypass the Screamer block.
