Why these settings

The original tone comes from a high-gain Mesa Rectifier, which the Blues Junior cannot replicate—it's a clean-platform amp. Set amp Volume (preamp gain) to 0 to keep it clean; all distortion must come from the RAT pedal. Mid is dropped to 3 (vs a neutral 5) to approximate the scooped Rectifier voicing; Treble pushed to 7 for the edgy bite. Your HSS Strat's bridge humbucker is closer to the DiMarzio Super Distortion output than single coils would be.

PRO TIPPalm-mute aggressively and pick hard near the bridge—Dexter's attack is percussive and tight. The tone's punch comes from pick dynamics, not sustain. Roll tone knob to 8 to tame any ice-pick frequencies from the Strat's bridge humbucker through the Blues Junior's bright treble shelf.
