01OD/DS Block: 'FUZZ' (Fuzz Face model)
Engage for the main iconic riff and verses (run into the front of the preamp block)
02FX1/FX2 Block: 'OCTAVE' / 'OCT FUZZ'
Engage during the guitar solo to reproduce the Roger Mayer Octavia effect
The Tagima TW61 features P90 pickups which output thicker low-mids and higher signal level than Jimi's vintage Stratocaster single coils. We pull the preamp gain slightly down to 4 and dial Treble to 6 with Mid at 7 on the MS 1959 block to retain clarity through the onboard Fuzz model without muddying the low-end. Roll the guitar volume between 7 and 9 to get Hendrix's expressive clean-to-fuzz dynamics.
