RECOMMENDED — not currently owned
Because the original relies on a DI tube preamp and a cranked Blues Driver/Fuzz Face combo rather than a real guitar cab, use the Valvestate's OD1 mode with the Contour control set around 4 to preserve mid grit without sounding overly boxy. Keep the bass lean at 4 and push the treble to 7 to replicate the crisp top-end attack of single coils recorded directly into a console. If you acquire a BD-2, switch the Valvestate to the Clean channel with gain at 3 and let the pedal generate the core breakup.
